Hi I read one of your books and it had Pumpkin Muffins in it. I took pictures of it….and found out later….I missed some of the instructions. Can you please give it to me? Thanks, Linda R.

     Every library that we know of has a staff that can help you freely borrow any book in the WORLD CAT catalog, as long as that book is in their network of libraries. And our books are absolutely available in almost all library **networks** (since they're published by Penguin Random House, the largest English language publisher of books in the world). 

     If you do not see all of our titles in your local library, simply ask the staff to help you locate copies of our work within their public library **network** lending system. That should do the trick for you. Thanks for stopping by, Kat.

There was a recipe, I know I've made it and loved it. Can't find it. Something with oatmeal. I could swear it was one of yours; I took it somewhere and everyone loved it. Now I can't find it. Joy & What If?

JOY - Did Joy, at all, blame Matteo for the divorce and for Clare moving them to Jersey when she was a child?

WHAT IF? - I'd like to think that if Clare and Matteo also had a son before their divorce, the son would have been a Mama's Boy in contrast to Joy who is a Daddy's girl.

Welcome Back Pen and Jack!

I have just finished reading The Ghost and the Haunted Portrait. In a word, phenomenal! I absolutely loved this book and it was so worth the wait. I was drawn into the story and could not put the book down.

Characters were well developed, the mystery seamless and I was guessing the murderer till the very end. I do so love the dynamic between Pen and Jack. Please keep them coming!!!!

Would you say Quinn's family likes Clare better than they ever did Leila, his ex-wife? After the events of Once Upon a Grind, do they resent Leila even more for (SPOILER ALERT) the fact that she was, although unintentionally, working beside a murderer and almost getting Molly and Clare killed? And what of Molly and Jeremy? Do they prefer Clare to their own mother? I mean, Leila did admit to putting her own needs first to Clare in that underground club.

Movies & Fall & Past

MOVIES:

Your books deserve to have a movie or TV crime series. They would win awards hands down.

I've noticed that quite a few of the Coffeehouse books take place during the autumn months. Is that your favorite season?

Cleo's reply: Yes.

PAST:

Have you considered a book where Clare is approached by her mother who walked out on her or someone who knows her mother? And what ever happened to the relatives Clare was staying with in Italy during the time she met Matteo?

Cleo's reply: In a long-running book series like the Coffeehouse Mysteries (book #19 will be published soon), developping plotlines from any character's past is always a possibility. What you've suggested has always been a possibility in our minds as writers. It's nice that you're invested in the characters and their stories and want to see more development from past threads. Keep reading and you may see those storylines appear again. You never know. Thank you!

Joy

Is Joy aware of what her father tried to pull in Brewed Awakening with her mother? If so, what are her feelings?

Let's do it now...pretend I'm leading your book club group.

If you've read the previous books, then you know Joy dearly loves her dad. He's been Joy's champion and protector, and she never liked the idea of her parents splitting. Children often have very different views of things than their parents. So... Given Joy's background and feelings about her father, how do you think she would have felt about Matt trying to win her mother back?

I would think that Joy would have been as annoyed as her mother. While, as a kid, she would have been thrilled by her father trying to win her mother back, she isn't blind to her mother and Quinn's love for each other. I don't think she would hate her father either, but I can't imagine she's too happy that her dad lied and also tried to ruin things for Clare and Mike. She has come to accept that her mother doesn't want her father back. She even fancied the prospect of Mike and Clare marrying back in Murder by Mocha.
